试试看做楼主新贴的题目。这些句子的结构我都会分析,但是XX从句这种说法已经不太记得了。
1. These function together to produce what we recognize as unique taste.
主语是 These function (应为functions吧?)谓语是produce,宾语是what we recognize as unique taste. what 引导的宾语从句. together to, 这个不太明白,是笔误吗?印象中没有这个短语搭配吧。是不是应该为These functions together produce what we recognize as unique taste. 这些功能共同创造出我们认为独一无二的品味。
2. Economists from the University of Sussex analyzed findings from the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health, a 15-year research project charting the fortunes of a group of thousands of teenagers who attended high schools in the US in the mid-1990s.
主语是“Economists from the University of Sussex" ,谓语是analyzed,宾语是finds from the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health", 逗号后面” a 15-year research project charting....."这个从句叫啥来着,同位语从句吗?逗号后面就是解释宾语findings的具体内容。
翻译:Sussex大学的经济学家们分析了国家青少年健康纵深学会(这个名称瞎翻的)的研究发现,该研究是一个为期15年的计划,描绘了几千名1990年代中期在美国就读高中的青少年的际遇。
3. Whether you get along well with your professors or not has a huge effect on your self-growth as it is a measure of how well you can respect authority and obey requirements.
主语是"Whether you get along well with your professors or not", 谓语是has a huge effect on,宾语是your self-growth, as后面引导的是状语从句(是叫这个名字吧,as的意思跟since差不多,比because的语气要弱)从句里面,it (主语)is (谓语)a measure (宾语),后面of how well you can respect authority and obey requirements是补充measure的定语从句(是叫定语从句吧?)
翻译:你是否能与你的教授和谐相处,对你的个人发展会有巨大影响,因为这点能衡量你是否足够尊重权威并服从需求准则。
4. First put forward by the French mathematician Pierre de Format in the seventeenth century, the theorem had baffled and beaten the finest mathematical minds, including a French woman scientist who made a major advance in working out the problem, and who had to dress like a man in order to be able to study at the Ecolab Polytechnique.
主语是"the theorem". 句子开头的 ”First put forward by the French mathematician.....in the 17th century"是主语的定语从句,谓语是had baffled and beaten,宾语是 the finest mathematical minds. including后面引导的这个从句是补充说明宾语的,(叫什么从句,不确定,宾语的同位语??) including这个从句里面的结构是,a French woman scientist 后面有两个并列的who引导的从句,都是解释这个a French woman scientist的。
翻译:这个由17世纪法国数学家Pierre de Format首次提出的定理难倒了最优秀的数学家们,其中包括一个在此问题研究中非常领先的法国女科学家,她甚至被迫穿着男装在Ecolab理工学院学习。
5. It is difficult to measure the quantity of paper used as a result of use of Internet-connected computers, although just about anyone works in an office can tell you that when e-mail is introduced, the printers start working overtime. That is, the growing demand for paper in recent years is largely due to the increased use of the Internet
第一句话,先倒过来看,although引导的让步状语从句(请原谅我百度了一下这个名称)里面anyone woks in an office是从句里面的主语,谓语 can tell, 宾语you, that后面是宾语从句,tell somebody something这个结构。再回过头去看开头这半句,相当于是although放在句子中间的让步状语从句,对吧。it is difficult to do something. 主语it,谓语is difficult to measure (这个在高中语法怎么说来着,系表动词+形容词+动词??)宾语是 the quantity of paper, used as 及后面都是修饰宾语的定语。
翻译:虽然在办公室上班的人都能告诉你,电子邮件诞生之后,打印机就开始一直超时工作,但由于计算机与互联网连接,用掉的纸张数量仍然很难计算。(因为有个as a result of,所以我翻译时候加了个由于)
第2句话,That is 放在句子开头作为解释。主语the growing demand for paper in recent years,谓语 is due to ,宾语the increased use of the Internet
翻译:那就是说,近年来持续增长的用纸需求量是来自于互联网使用的增长。
来,看看能得多少分吧。(不过我觉得正是这种对于疑难长句的细致分析,磨灭了一部分高中生对于英语的学习兴趣)
